What is dating in Utah actually like? I went to Utah to find out: from LDS (Mormon) students at BYU, young couples, ex-Mormons, and locals navigating a dating scene that exists somewhere between deep religious tradition and modern secular life.
In this documentary, I’m looking at how LDS/Mormon culture shapes dating, relationships, intimacy and marriage, especially when you’re in your early 20s. Why is there so much pressure to find a partner and get married? What happens when you don’t fit the traditional blueprint? And how different is dating in Provo, the heart of Mormon culture, from Salt Lake City?
